EDL GLASS has further strengthened its position as a technology-driven manufacturer in the glazing market. Our products have successfully completed a series of demanding laboratory tests at ift Rosenheim in Germany, one of Europe’s most respected testing institutes.

The certificate confirms that EDL GLASS insulated glass units fully comply with the stringent requirements of the European standards EN 1279-2 (airtightness and durability) and EN 1279-3 (gas concentration and leakage rate).

What exactly did the German experts test?

For several months, samples of our insulating glass units manufactured using TPS (Thermo Plastic Spacer) warm-edge technology were subjected to extreme testing conditions:

• Climate Cycling: The insulated glass units successfully withstood repeated temperature fluctuations and high-humidity exposure under controlled laboratory conditions.
• Gas Retention: Testing confirmed the long-term stability of the argon gas fill, ensuring lasting thermal performance.
• Seal Integrity: Moisture penetration testing verified the durability and reliability of the edge seal, ensuring long-term insulating performance.
